Beck Controls has engineered and implemented multiple
industrial automation projects. Managing project teams comprised of software developers
and electrical specialists Beck Controls will meet and exceed your project expectations.
The following systems are just a sample of Beck Control's talents;
o Waste Water Treatment Systems , using the GE
FANUC 90.30 ro Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Rockwell
Software's RSView32 for the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and
Man Machine Interface (MMI). Turned existing systems from discrete control, to complete
proportional control getting at least 50% reduction in chemical usage and sludge
reduction. These systems reduced manpower up to 50%, with low maintenance and a
high return on investment. Automated alarm paging, and offsite remote troubleshooting.
o ASCR (Automated Stress Relief Controller) for
airline industry Heat Treat processes using multiple industrial furnaces. Incorporating
Allen Bradley touch screens and Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 PLC technology to recover
and record SCADA, and an MMI to control current cycle runs and retrieve historical
cycle runs. This automation eliminated human intervention to achieve repeatable
furnace cycles, reducing rejects and significantly reduced manpower.
o Automated industrial clean line systems for
the airline industry. Incorporated touch screen technology to give maximum operator
efficiency and security. Using an Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 PLC, SCADA and MMI these
systems allow for historical trending of chemical tanks, remote process timing for
individual chemical tanks, chemical tanks level control and controlling the temperature
for heated tanks. Included is the remote pager alarm system.
o Industrial PLC and PC programs for manufacturing
machines and machining applications geared for the airline industry. Some of these
are as follows: Automated varsol spray booths, automated shot peen blast machines,
Silicone Controlled Rectifier (SCR) driven fuel control and accessory test benches,
automated plasma spray systems using ABB robots.
o Microsoft Windows Servers and network hardware
multiple company systems in Dallas, Installed workstations and RAS (Remote Access)
with protection for dial-up network connectivity. Initiated DSL connectivity for
Internet connections to each workstation. Setup printer server for multiple network
printing.
o Automated Turbine Engine Test Cell Control Systems
using National Instruments SCXI high speed DAQ, NI Compact Field Point and Visual
Basic as the MMI & SCADA, all engine parameters are recorded every ½ second,
while viewing a refresh rate at 25 Hz. These systems includ data reduction for standard
day evaluation, graphing, integrated custom built vibration spectrometers and discrete
vibration surveys using the NI PCI-4472 Accelerometer Input Card, Polling the engine's
EEC using the ARINC 429 protocol and Ballard Technologies, Inc. ARINC 429 Protocol
PCI card, Schenck and Froude dynomometers and controllers via Ethernet using WinSock.
Connections were either OPC or Direct Connect or DDE.
o Servo motor control systems to drive jet engines
on a test cell, this was accomplished with A/B servo motors and the PC, PLA &
CLA angles are recorded, a separate control was added for monitoring servo pressure,
this will give a better throttle feel for the operator.
